Job summary

BerryDunn's Bangor, Maine office is seeking an Audit Intern to gain hands-on experience across cash management, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payrolls, and expense analysis with exposure to clients in Health Care, Not-for-Profit, Financial Services, Manufacturing, and more.

You will participate in reviews, perform research on audit issues, and interact with clients while receiving training on CaseWare Trial Balance, DS W, and internal procedures.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a student in an Accounting or related business program.
• Available to work a minimum of 24 hours per week over three business days (40 hours during summer session).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Review & audit engagements with supervision from senior staff.
• Research audit issues using firm software.
• Collaborate with clients from diverse industries to understand business practices.
• Participate with team members on audit and review engagements and/or special projects.
• Develop understanding of client businesses by working on a project team.
• Identify and document task issues and progress in a timely and organized manner.
