Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking an Audit Director/Audit Manager to join our State and Local Government (SLG) practice in the Northeast offices. Our SLG group serves over 2100 local, county, and state agencies and is a fast-growing area within CLA.

You will lead client engagements, manage audit teams, and contribute to financial planning objectives while mentoring staff and developing talent. A CPA license is required, with a focus on governmental audits and single audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation and audits.
• Experience leading teams of high performing people and managing governmental audits and Single audits strongly preferred.
• CPA license certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with clients.
• Assist clients in obtaining necessary funding to positively impact their communities.
• Assist clients with meeting audit and financial planning objectives using a range of tools.
• Mentor staff, oversee client engagement teams, and develop personnel.
• Lead engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines; report to engagement principal with findings.
