Job summary

CLA is seeking an Audit Director/Manager to join our State and Local Government (SLG) practice in Sunbelt Region Offices. You will lead engagements, develop client relationships, and guide teams through government audits to add value for communities.

CPA is required; a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and at least 6 years in a large firm with governance audits and Single audits preferred. We offer diverse opportunities and strong wellness benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm.
• Experience leading teams and managing governmental and Single audits preferred.
• CPA license is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with great clients.
• Assist clients in obtaining necessary funding to continue to positively impact their community.
• Assist clients with meeting their audit and financial planning objectives by using a range of tools.
• Be creative with staff development, mentoring, and overseeing client engagement teams.
• Lead the engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines for adherence. Communicate important developments to the engagement principal along with facts, conclusions, and recommendations.
