Job summary

CLA is currently seeking an Audit Director/Audit Manager to join our State and Local Government (SLG) practice in the Midwest. The role focuses on leading governmental and single audits while building strong client relationships across local, county, and state agencies.

A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, along with at least six years of experience and CPA certification. The Minnesota compensation range is $85,000.00–$168,000.00, with competitive benefits and career growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a large firm driving strategic management.
• Experience leading teams and managing governmental and single audits; CPA license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with great clients.
• Lead engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines for adherence.
• Mentor staff and oversee client engagement teams in SLG audits.
• Assist clients in meeting audit and financial planning objectives using a range of tools.
• Communicate developments and recommendations to engagement principals.
