Job summary

Citrin Cooperman is seeking a Director to join the Audit Department in San Diego, CA. The Director will lead audit engagements, mentor teams, and develop client relationships while driving growth and maintaining high-quality standards.

The role requires CPA eligibility with 6+ years in public accounting, including supervisory experience, and proficiency in Caseware/Caseview and Microsoft Office. This is a full-time on-site opportunity in San Diego.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA eligibility by completing 150 credit hours.
• Minimum 6 years at a public accounting firm, with at least 2 years in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement teams across audits, reviews, and compilations with fieldwork and documentation review.
• Identify key audit risk areas and present conclusions to Partners.
• Train and mentor staff to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
• Cultivate strong client relationships through proactive communication.
• Coordinate with Partners on work status and client issues.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop budgets and pricing strategies for audit engagements.
• Participate in business development, proposals, and networking.
• Stay current with industry developments, regulatory changes, and auditing trends.
• Engage in professional development to enhance technical skills.
