Progressive regional CPA firm is seeking an Audit Director with a State and Local Government specialization. The role offers a fast track to partnership and a reasonable work-life balance in a hybrid work environment with relocation assistance available.

The Director will liaise between partners, clients, and staff, manage multiple audit engagements, train staff, and develop new business opportunities. Travel to client and firm locations is required.

Qualifications

• ~10 years' experience in public accounting with a focus on government audits.
• Minimum 2 years in a senior manager role.
• CPA license required; ability to travel to client and firm locations.
• Experience with GAAS, GAGAS/Yellow Book and Uniform Guidance.
• Proven ability to develop staff and win new business.

Responsabilités

• Maintain client relationships throughout the year and understand client operations and control systems.
• Serve as engagement partner or report to the engagement partner on engagements.
• Sign attest opinions as engagement partner when assigned.
• Oversee all audit phases and ensure compliance with accounting framework and firm policy.
• Identify issues and propose solutions after partner consultation.
• Schedule engagements and manage engagement staffing and workflow.
• Act as SME for governmental sector; oversee billing and collections.
• Supervise and train staff; review work papers and reports.
