Audit Director | $180k to $210k | Hybrid
CPA required | 5+ years’ Public Accounting experience
Somewhere along the way, Public Accounting convinced people that if you wanted to keep progressing, you also had to keep giving more and more of your life away.
Thankfully, that isn’t true everywhere.
This firm is growing its Real Estate practice and looking for an Audit Senior Manager who wants the next step in their career to come with more influence, not just more hours.
You’ll work with established real estate developers, investors and construction businesses, leading engagements from planning through to completion and acting as a trusted point of contact for clients.
You’ll also work closely with the Partners. And not in the sense of sitting in meetings while somebody else makes all the decisions.
There’s genuine room here to help shape how the practice develops, mentor the team underneath you and have a say in where things go next.
The growth is creating opportunity. Not chaos. That’s quite an important distinction.
You’ll still have complex technical work to get stuck into, you’ll still be managing deadlines and there’ll still be busy periods.
But the hours are pretty reasonable for this level. Outside of busy season, 40 hour weeks are normal. During busy season, you’re generally looking at around 55 hours.
Busy enough to remember you work in Public Accounting. Not so busy that your family has to remind themselves what you look like.
Travel is minimal too, and you’ll have a flexible hybrid schedule.
Benefits include
They’re looking for a CPA with strong Real Estate audit experience who’s comfortable leading engagements, building long term client relationships and developing the people around them.
Someone who wants ownership. Someone who wants a voice.
Someone who’s ready for that bit of their career where the role starts becoming more about the impact they have than the number of files they personally touch.
Because at Senior Manager level, a move shouldn’t just mean a bigger paycheck.
It should give you more control over where your career is actually going. And ideally make Mondays feel slightly less offensive.
You don’t need to tick every single box before introducing yourself either.
