Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Audit Clerk to support our internal audit team in Welkom. You will assist with financial and operational audits, document internal controls, and help ensure accuracy and compliance.

You will work under the guidance of senior auditors, gain hands-on experience in auditing procedures, and enjoy a hybrid work arrangement that balances in-office collaboration with remote flexibility in Welkom.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Auditing.
• 1-2 years of experience in an audit or accounting environment.
• Basic understanding of internal controls and auditing principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting financial and operational audits under guidance of senior auditors.
• Review and document internal control procedures and identify weaknesses.
• Perform testing of transactions and balances to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare audit working papers and summarize findings.
• Communicate with auditees to gather information and clarify issues.
• Support the preparation of audit reports and follow-up on recommendations.
