Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting an Auditor in Welkom to conduct comprehensive financial audits for a diverse client base within the financial services sector. You will plan and execute audits, assess internal controls, document findings, and prepare detailed reports while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires 3–5 years external auditing experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, completed articles, and professional qualifications (CA(SA)/SAIPA/ACCA) are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent.
• Completed articles with a registered audit firm.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA)/SAIPA/ACCA is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and finalize financial audits according to ISA.
• Assess internal controls and identify deficiencies.
• Document audit findings and prepare reports and recommendations.
• Perform testing of financial statement accounts.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and facilitate audits.
• Supervise and mentor junior audit staff.
• Ensure compliance with auditing standards and regulations.
• Travel within the Free State as required.
