Job summary

LPU Batangas in Metairie is seeking an audit-training candidate to participate in a structured on-the-job program learning GAAP and GAAS while supporting audit staff and coordinating with clients and lenders. You will document work, use firm tools, and complete a research project presented to Assurance professionals, with opportunities to contribute to teams and grow in auditing practice.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting (required)
• Pursuing CPA
• Leadership experience (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions as directed
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured on-the-job training program to learn Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards
• Become familiar with BDO-specific audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process
• Provide support functions to the audit staff during engagements
• Communicate with clients' customers, creditors, banks, and related parties concerning audit issues
• Prepare and document work in working papers using BDO-specific tools and templates
• Contribute ideas and opinions to audit teams and respond to other team members' views
• Complete one assigned accounting or audit-related research project and present findings to a panel of Assurance professionals
• Perform other duties as required
