Job summary

Hannis-T. Bourgeois LLP is seeking an entry-level Audit + Assurance candidate in Louisiana to support audit teams across industries. The role focuses on learning policies, assisting with workpapers, and developing a foundation in GAAP and auditing standards.

You will work with Seniors and Managers, gaining mentorship and exposure to client engagements while building technical and communication skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting from a four-year college or university.
• 0 to 2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Learns and assists audit professionals under supervision of Seniors, Supervisors, Managers, Senior Managers and Partners.
• Becomes familiar with the firm's policies and procedures including workpaper preparation, audit, and accounting procedures, and documentation and testing of internal controls.
• Keeps current on technical issues and learns to apply them to client circumstances.
• Becomes proficient in the use of the Firm's technology and research tools.
• Begins to develop a command of GAAP and generally accepted auditing standards.
