Job summary

Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP is seeking an entry-level Audit Associate to join our Audit + Assurance team in Hammond, LA. You will learn and assist with audits while gaining exposure to multiple industries and client engagements.

You'll work under guidance from Seniors, Supervisors, Managers and Partners, developing a foundation in GAAP and auditing standards while leveraging the firm's technology and resources for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting from a four-year college or university.
• 0–2 years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Learns and assists audit professionals under direction of Seniors, Supervisors, Manager, Senior Managers and Partners.
• Familiarizes with the firm's policies and procedures including workpaper preparation, audit and accounting procedures, and documentation/testing of internal controls.
• Keeps current on technical issues and learns to apply them to client circumstances.
• Proficiently uses the Firm's technology and research tools.
• Begins to develop a command of GAAP and generally accepted auditing standards.
