Job summary

Prosperity Partners, a Chicago-headquartered professional services firm, seeks an Audit Associate to support its growing audit practice in a hybrid environment. You will own multiple steps of engagements from planning to final disclosures and tax-related issues as described.

Responsibilities include planning, fieldwork, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with teams to improve client processes, with opportunities for advancement and equity participation in a dynamic, process-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification preferred.
• Public accounting or private industry experience.
• Experience with financial services: broker-dealers, hedge funds, private equity.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and ability to handle complex accounting entries.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365; audit software experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proactive team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, execution, and completion of audit assignments.
• Conduct fieldwork including testing of internal controls and documenting findings.
• Prepare working papers and draft financial statements per GAAP/PCAOB.
• Collaborate to identify process improvements in clients’ controls.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and address inquiries.
• Research accounting/auditing standards and industry trends.
• Support audit reports and present findings to senior staff and clients.
• Contribute to high-quality client service and continuous improvement.
