Job summary
Cherry Bekaert is seeking an Audit Staff in Tysons, VA to work on a wide variety of audit engagements under supervision of experienced accounting professionals. You will engage and serve clients from various industries, communicate with project in-charges and clients, and develop technical accounting skills while performing audits of financial statements.
The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting (Masters preferred), CPA eligibility or active CPA, and willingness to travel including frequent
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; master's preferred
- CPA certified or eligibility to work toward obtaining a CPA license
- GPA 3.0/4.0 or above preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Engage and serve clients from various industries
- Communicate with project in-charges and clients
- Develop technical accounting skills while performing audits of financial statements
- Prepare audit checklists and adjust journal entries
- Gain business writing experience while preparing financial statements alongside clients
- Prepare and organize workpapers for client files
- Perform other essential duties as needed
