Job summary

The starting PTO is 4 weeks. The anticipated average salary range is $60,000-$65,000, with final offers based on location, experience, education, skill set, and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
• 0-3 years of experience
• Pursuing CPA is a plus
• Government or Non-profit Audit experience preferred
• Ability to travel 80% around the Chicago suburbs, with occasional travel to other Illinois locations
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform basic audit procedures, including testing transactions and reviewing financial records
• Verify accuracy of financial data against supporting documents
• Prepare audit work papers and document tests and findings
• Assist in evaluating internal controls and identifying risks or compliance issues
• Communicate audit findings to team members and clients
• Follow audit plans and ensure adherence to standards and regulations
• Maintain professional knowledge through workshops and publications
• Support audit team to achieve related results and client service excellence
• Clearly communicate with clients and team members to deliver responsive service
