Job summary

Lauterbach & Amen, LLP, a well-established CPA firm in the Chicagoland area, is seeking a full-time Accountant to support clients locally and at our Naperville office. The role includes general ledger entries, reconciliations, financial statements, payroll processing, and client advisory.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 1–3 years of accounting experience; CPA or pursuing licensure preferred. Travel locally; salary $65,000–$75,000 with comprehensive benefits and 4 weeks of paid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA or actively pursuing license preferred.
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience required.
• Previous accounting/cash receipt experience is required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general ledger entries.
• Accounts payable/receivable.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Assist with preparing financial statements.
• Prepare government-required reports.
• Advise clients on internal accounting matters.
• Payroll processing.
• Compliance reporting.
• Daily client interactions by phone or e-mail.
