Cherry Bekaert is seeking an Audit Staff to work on a wide variety of engagements under supervision, serving clients across industries. You will develop technical accounting skills and prepare workpapers and financial statements alongside clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Masters preferred CPA eligible or eligibility to work toward CPA license.
• GPA 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel.
• Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime in certain cycles.

Responsibilities

• Work on a wide variety of audit engagements under supervision.
• Engage and serve clients from various industries.
• Communicate with project in-charges and clients.
• Develop technical accounting skills while performing audits of financial statements.
• Prepare audit checklists and adjust journal entries.
• Gain business writing experience while preparing financial statements with clients.
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files.
• Perform other essential duties as needed.
