Job summary

Current in Mesa, AZ is seeking an entry-level Audit Associate to support governmental audits under senior CPAs, gaining hands-on public accounting experience.

You’ll work in-office at client sites with significant travel in Q1, learning auditing standards and financial statement prep while developing your CPA pathway. A Bachelor’s in accounting and 0–2 years of experience, plus strong communication and MS Office skills, are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• 0–2 years of accounting or audit experience (internships or part‑time experience a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communicator and team player with a positive attitude.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team environment.
• Interested in pursuing and obtaining their CPA license in the future.
• Ability and willingness to travel significantly during Q1.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing audits of governmental clients following Government Auditing Standards.
• Learn and apply current accounting principles and auditing techniques.
• Help prepare financial statements, footnote disclosures, and management letters.
• Collect, organize, and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate progress and findings clearly with team members.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities to build your skills.
