Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists with patients using appropriate techniques and procedures to perform minor hearing aid repairs, cleanings and programming.
• Sends hearing aids out for difficult or extensive repair.
• Orders new hearing aids for patients as directed by audiologist.
• Assists audiologist in direct patient care as needed per site.
• Communicates with audiologist and other health care team members; documents accurate and timely information regarding patient questions and needs.
• Performs occupational health hearing tests and counseling per site requirements.
• Provides office support: scheduling appointments, preparing exam rooms, cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, checking equipment, managing referrals and prior authorizations, processing work queues.
