HearingLife in Annapolis, MD is offering an Audiology externship for AuD students to gain hands-on clinical experience under mentorship. From day one, you will participate in evaluations, fittings, and patient education while connecting with externs nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Learn from preceptors through practical evaluations, patient engagement and education.
• Lead selection, fitting, and follow-up appointments for hearing aids.
• Assist in earmold impressions and device servicing.
• Document appointments and track patient progress.
• Participate in clinic meetings and training sessions.
• Collaborate with externs nationwide to share learnings.
• Support clinic operations and any tasks beneficial to the program.

Salary range is $19-23/hr

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Learning: From day 1, gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.
• Peer interaction: You'll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement. This collaboration enhances clinical skills and insights into office operations.

Daily Extern Responsibilities

• Learn, ask questions to your preceptor.
• Appointment documentation
• Lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments
• Ordering/servicing hearing aids
• Earmold impressions
• Conduct follow up calls with patients.
• Participate in clinic/company meetings.
• Any task beneficial to your clinic
