Job summary

HearingLife in Arlington, VA is seeking an Audiology Doctoral Student for an externship. This hands-on learning role provides mentorship, clinic experience, and exposure to pediatric and vestibular testing in a nationwide hearing care network.

You will participate in evaluations, fittings, and follow-up care while connecting virtually with externs nationwide and exploring opportunities for future full-time roles within HearingLife.

Salary range is $19-23/hr

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Learning: From day 1, gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.
• Peer interaction: You'll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement. This collaboration enhances clinical skills and insights into office operations.

Daily Extern Responsibilities:

• Learn, ask questions to your preceptor.
• Appointment documentation
• Lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments
• Ordering/servicing hearing aids
• Earmold impressions
• Conduct follow up calls with patients.
• Participate in clinic/company meetings.
• Any task beneficial to your clinic
