Qualifications

• Active AuD student enrolled in an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Learn from licensed audiologists through hands-on evaluations and patient interactions.
• Document appointments and maintain accurate records.
• Lead fitting, follow-up, and service appointments for patients.
• Order and service hearing aids as directed by preceptors.
• Take earmold impressions and conduct follow-up calls with patients.
• Participate in clinic meetings and company events.
• Contribute to a positive, growth-oriented externship experience.

Salary range is $19-23/hr

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Learning: From day 1, gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.
• Peer interaction: You'll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement. This collaboration enhances clinical skills and insights into office operations.

Daily Extern Responsibilities

• Learn, ask questions to your preceptor.
• Appointment documentation
• Lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments
• Ordering/servicing hearing aids
• Earmold impressions
• Conduct follow up calls with patients.
• Participate in clinic/company meetings.
• Any task beneficial to your clinic
