Job summary

JLL is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Technician to support daily AV operations in a corporate client environment in Wilmington, NC. The role combines hands-on technical support, conference room setup, and customer service to ensure seamless collaboration technologies.

You will manage work orders via Corrigo CMMS, troubleshoot issues, and maintain AV equipment for reliable operation and minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of hands-on AV support in a corporate, hospitality, or similar setting.
• Experience with CMMS and work order documentation is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of video conferencing platforms (Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Webex).
• Familiarity with HDMI/DisplayPort, projectors, microphones, speakers, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site AV support for conference rooms and collaboration spaces.
• Set up, test, and operate AV equipment for meetings and events.
• Troubleshoot AV issues and coordinate with vendors or internal teams.
• Prepare rooms per meeting requirements and ensure proper setup.
• Manage service requests and tickets using Corrigo CMMS.
• Perform routine maintenance, inventory tracking and quality checks.
• Deliver responsive customer service to meeting participants.

What this job involves:

JLL is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Technician to support daily AV operations within a corporate client environment. This role is responsible for ensuring conference rooms, meeting spaces, and collaboration technologies operate seamlessly to support business activities and client engagement. The position combines hands‑on technical support, conference room setup, troubleshooting, customer service, and work order management through Corrigo CMMS. The ideal candidate is a detail‑oriented professional with strong technical knowledge of modern AV systems and a commitment to delivering a high‑quality workplace experience.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Provide on‑site support for audio visual systems including video conferencing platforms, displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, and control systems.
• Set up, test, and operate AV equipment for meetings, presentations, training sessions, and special events.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to conference room technology and coordinate escalations with vendors or internal support teams when needed.
• Prepare conference rooms according to meeting requirements, ensuring proper equipment configuration, room setup, and readiness before events begin.
• Manage service requests and work orders through Corrigo CMMS, including tracking, documentation, prioritization, and closure of tickets.
• Perform routine maintenance, inventory tracking, and quality checks on AV equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting meeting participants, providing user guidance, and responding promptly to urgent support requests.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Electronics, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands‑on experience supporting AV technologies in a corporate, hospitality, educational, or similar professional environment.
• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), preferably Corrigo, for work order management and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of video conferencing platforms including Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, or similar technologies.
• Working knowledge of AV hardware and connectivity standards including HDMI, USB, DisplayPort, projectors, microphones, speakers, and presentation systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot AV and basic network‑related issues across Windows and macOS environments.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CTS, AVIXA, Crestron, Extron, or other AV industry certifications.
• Experience supporting live events, webcasting, streaming, or video production activities.
• Familiarity with AV control systems such as Crestron, Extron, or AMX platforms.
• Knowledge of networked audio technologies including DANTE or AES67 protocols.
• Experience supporting digital signage and interactive display technologies.Background working in facilities management, hospitality, or managed service environments.
• Bilingual communication skills supporting diverse workplace populations.

Location:

Wilmington, NC

Work Shift:

Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
