Job summary

Big Sky Resort is seeking an Audio-Visual Technician to support our Conference Services team, delivering seamless AV experiences for meetings and events across multiple spaces.

You will set up and operate sound and video equipment, manage projections, streaming, and lighting, while communicating with speakers, group leaders, and event organizers to ensure exceptional service and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in the Audio-Visual industry.
• Passion for guest service and the hospitality industry.
• Friendly attitude and a team player approach.
• Willingness to learn and take on a variety of roles and responsibilities.
• Cool-headed and self-motivated demeanor.
• Strong sense of urgency and responsibility while maintaining quality standards.
• Ability for quick decision making within a defined span of time.
• Excel in an environment with varied tasks.
• Be available to work early, mid-day and evening shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Be able to lift at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Showcase your technical skills by setting up and running the sound system and video equipment to conduct digital and in-person meetings, business conventions, conference and miscellaneous events.
• Set and strike Audio-Visual equipment, mix soundboards, setup and monitor single and multi-room projection, web streaming services and enhancement lighting.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with group leaders, speakers and conference management to provide exceptional Audio-Visual experiences.
• Problem-solve technical and hardware issues when necessary.
• Inspect and perform quality checks on audio-visual setups prior to meeting starts.
• Assist our wait staff and bartenders with room setup and plated and buffet food & beverages service.
• Showcase your cleanliness standards by maintaining impeccable order of equipment and surrounding areas.
• Maintain harmonious relationships with team members by being open to completing any task or function that will support the service experience.
• Learn and follow our Boyne Standards and Boyne Basics to better serve our guests.
