Job summary

LifeWorks Restaurant Group seeks an AV Specialist to support conference and meeting technologies across campus locations. You will manage presentation systems, video conferencing platforms, and AV integration projects for high-profile meetings and events.

You will install, configure, and troubleshoot AV gear, train staff, and coordinate with vendors while maintaining documentation and collaborating with IT and facilities teams for seamless operation.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience with audio visual technology, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment, including sound systems, projectors, video conferencing systems, and lighting.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in audio-visual technology.
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting complex AV systems, as well as strong knowledge of proper equipment rack wiring standards and event best practices.
  • Experience with major industry manufacturers including QSC, Crestron, Cisco, Microsoft, Biamp, and/or Poly.
  • General proficiency with computers and specialized software applications specific to the AV industry.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation, setup, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual systems for meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Provide on-site support for flawless execution of events.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues promptly to minimize disruptions and ensure a smooth experience for all users.
  • Stay updated on the latest audio-visual technologies and recommend upgrades or enhancements as needed.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain audio-visual equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with conference service managers to understand audio-visual requirements for various functions.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on the proper use of audio-visual equipment and systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of equipment, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Work closely with IT, facilities, and other relevant departments to integrate audio-visual systems with existing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized audio-visual projects.

This hands-on role manages presentation systems, enterprise video conferencing platforms, and AV integration projects while ensuring seamless support for high-profile meetings and events.

The ideal candidate brings experience in audiovisual operations, computer systems, and network fundamentals, along with hands-on expertise setting up and breaking down AV equipment for live events. You'll partner with vendors, oversee installations, troubleshoot complex technology issues, and help maintain presentation computers.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and address technical issues.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
