Job summary

Marshall Industries is seeking an Audio Video Installation Technician to join our Boise area team. You will install and troubleshoot Nurse Call, Pro Sound, Paging, Intercom, CCTV systems with emphasis on safety and quality.

Required are 3+ years in commercial AV installation/servicing and strong communication. Travel up to 50% and a valid US driver’s license are expected, with day shifts and full-time hours in Idaho. Benefits include medical, retirement, and ESOP.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience installing/servicing commercial AV systems.
• 2+ years of audio DSP programming with BSS/Biamp/Q-SYS/AMX or Crestron knowledge a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CTS certification a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot electronic communication systems including Nurse Call, Pro Sound, Paging, Intercom, CCTV.
• Pull wiring, install hardware, and operate testing equipment.
• Meet installation deadlines and maintain accurate timesheets and tickets.
• Ensure safety and quality standards on every job site.

Marshall Industries Inc., an employee-owned company established in 1975, is a leader in the Audio/Video integration industry and we are currently seeking an Audio Video Installation Technician to join our team in the Boise area. We serve a wide range of sectors including Healthcare, Education, House of Worship, Communications, and Commercial AV.

Primary Role

The Audio Video Installation Technician is responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of electronic communication systems, including but not limited to Nurse Call, Pro Sound, Paging, Intercom, Security/Access Control & CCTV. The technician is responsible for installing the systems in the most efficient and effective manner. All installations must meet the highest quality standards set forth by Marshall Industries, while assuring a professional and safe working environment.

• Pulling of electronic cable


• Responsible for the basic wiring and installation of hardware


• Responsible for the operation of cable testing equipment


• Meet all installation deadlines


• Responsible for accurate tracking on timesheets, service/installation tickets, and inventory items


• Operation of power tools


• Full compliance with company’s and customer’s safety program


• Other duties as required or assigned by company management

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

• 3+ years experience in installing and/or servicing commercial AV systems


• 2+ years of audio DSP programming at least one of BSS, Biamp, Q-SYS, AMX/Crestron programming knowledge a plus


• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously


• CTS Certification a plus but not required


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to plan, organize and implement skills allowing the successful completion of the projects that are date sensitive

Physical Requirements

• Ability to handle heavy equipment and tools, and to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights
