Job summary

Level 3 Audiovisual in Boise, ID is seeking a Field Technician Senior to provide on-site technical leadership for complex AV installations, coordinating activities, mentoring technicians, and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time project completion.

You will lead installation and integration of conferencing, control, DSP audio, and networked AV systems, verify signal flow, and prepare documentation for turnover. Travel and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required with assistance.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• AVIXA CTS certification required or willing to obtain within first six months.
• AVIXA CTS-I certification preferred.
• Advanced manufacturer certifications from QSC, Biamp, Crestron, or similar technologies preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial audiovisual installation experience.
• Experience installing and integrating complex AV systems in commercial environments.
• Leadership, crew lead or field supervision experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating installation teams, subcontractors, and field activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical leadership on job sites, ensuring installation activities are properly coordinated, staffed, and executed according to project plans.
• Lead and support the installation and integration of complex AV systems, including conferencing, control, DSP audio, and networked AV technologies. Verify signal flow, power sequencing, device functionality, and system readiness for commissioning and customer turnover.
• Monitor job site quality, enforce company installation standards, and proactively identify and correct deficiencies before they result in rework.
• Mentor and develop Field Technicians through coaching, hands-on training, and reinforcement of safety, quality, and accountability standards.
• Coordinate daily work activities, support job-site meetings, and assist with task assignments based on technician skill levels and project priorities.
• Provide project documentation, redlines, punch list support, progress updates, and escalation of technical issues, risks, or schedule concerns.

About the Position:

The Field Technician Senior serves as the technical leader on active job sites, responsible for the execution, coordination, and quality of complex audiovisual installations. This role combines advanced technical expertise with onsite leadership, ensuring installation activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards. What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification required or willing to obtain within first six months of employment.
• AVIXA CTS-I certification preferred.
• Advanced manufacturer certifications from QSC, Biamp, Crestron, or similar technologies preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial audiovisual installation experience.
• Demonstrated experience installing and integrating complex AV systems in commercial environments.
• Previous leadership, crew lead, or field supervision experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating installation teams, subcontractors, and field activities preferred.
