Job summary

TelevisaUnivision is seeking an Audio 2 Operator to join Production Operations. The role involves playing back music for live shows, managing microphones and IFB systems, and handling broadcast equipment including Novation Launchpad and related hardware.

The ideal candidate has at least an associate degree, 1 year of live show experience, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency. On-site coverage may include nights, weekends, holidays, and storm-related shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate Degree or equivalent college degree.
• Minimum 1 year of experience on live shows.
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish required.
• Knowledge of sound, music, and acoustics.
• Knowledge of various microphones, IFBs, receivers, and transmitters.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.
• Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcasts.
• On-call availability and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Play back music using playback software/hardware such as Live/Novation Launchpad.
• Work directly with A-1.
• Maintain and operate microphones, backstage monitors, and communication systems.
• Monitor microphone and IFB frequencies and RTS boxes.
• Change batteries on microphones, IFBs, and RTS boxes.
• Position microphones on talents and guests.
• Distribute communication boxes and ensure their return.

Production Operations at Televisa Univision is looking for an Audio 2 Operator to join our team!

Responsibilities include playing back music for live shows, proper microphone and IFB placement and proficient in the use of all broadcast equipment and technology within operating areas-this includes but is not limited to Novation Launchpad, microphone and IFB signal flows, wireless PL systems, mix minus, intercom devices and all associated hardware and software, broadcast routers, remote "crash cart," and trunking procedures.

YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)

• Must be able to use playback software/hardware such as Live/Novation Launchpad
• Work directly with A-1
• Upkeep and use of microphones, backstage monitors, communication systems and audio systems
• Monitor frequency of microphones, IFBs (Interruptible Fold Back) and RTS boxes
• Change all batteries on microphones, IFB's and RTS boxes
• Position microphones on all talents and guests
• Distribute communication boxes and is responsible for their return

YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)

• As this position supports 24x7 operation, candidate must, in addition to being able to work regular hours, have on-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice. Additionally, candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as, during tropical storm/hurricane.
