Job summary

TelevisaUnivision is seeking an Audio 2 Operator to join the Production Operations team. You will work on live broadcasts, operate playback software/hardware, manage microphones, IFBs, RTS boxes, and coordinate with A-1 for daily shows.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish, 1 year of live-show experience, and the ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and be on-site as needed. On-site coverage may extend during tropical storms or special events.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associates Degree or equivalent college degree.
• Minimum 1-year experience on live shows.
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) required.
• Knowledge of sound, music, and acoustics.
• Knowledge of various types of microphones, IFBS, receivers, and transmitters.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.
• Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcasts.

• Work directly with A-1
• Upkeep and use of microphones, backstage monitors, communication systems and audio systems
• Monitor frequency of microphones, IFBs (Interruptible Fold Back) and RTS boxes
• Change all batteries on microphones, IFB’s and RTS boxes
• Position microphones on all talents and guests
• Distribute communication boxes and is responsible for their return

YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)

• Minimum Associates Degree or equivalent college degree
• Minimum 1-year experience on live shows
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) required
• Knowledge of sound, music, and acoustics

• Abilitytomulti-task and react quickly during dailybroadcasts

As this position supports 24x7 operation, candidate must, in addition to being able to work regular hours, have on-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice. Additionally, candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as, during tropical storm/hurricane.
