Job summary

Televisa Univision in Miami is seeking an Audio 1 Operator to join our Production Operations team. You will be responsible for mixing high quality audio for live or live-to-tape television programming and ensuring proper levels and EQ across all mics and playback sources.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in television production or equivalent, 3–5 years in a control room, 4+ years of live audio experience, and bilingual English/Spanish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in television production or equivalent work experience.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.
• 3-5 years of experience in a control room broadcast facility.
• 4+ years of audio experience in a live television environment.
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish).
• Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology.
• Studio and Remote production experience.
• Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcasts.
• On-call availability and flexibility to work irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operational knowledge of digital and analog audio consoles and peripheral equipment including patch bays and routers.
• Setting up, checking and ensuring all microphones, audio and media playback are adjusted for proper VU levels and EQ.
• IFB mix minus, Telos Systems, COMREX and Cleanfeed.
• Design and load in of all Studio and Exterior PA equipment.
• Coordination of all RF/Wireless equipment (microphones, IFB and PL) as well as studio foldback with A-2 or Floor Manager.
• Provide immediate solutions in the event of equipment or other audio problems.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

Additionally, candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods of time toprovide coverage in special circumstances, such as, during tropicalstorm/hurricane.
