Job summary

Televisa Univision is seeking an Audio 1 Operator in Miami, FL for part-time support. The role focuses on producing high-quality audio for live or live-to-tape television, setting up and balancing microphones, playback, and mixing for on-air broadcasts.

The candidate will work with analog/digital consoles, patch bays, and RF/wireless gear, ensuring proper VU levels and EQ. Flexibility to cover varied shifts, including nights, weekends, or holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in television production or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in control room broadcast facility.
• 4+ years of audio experience in a live television environment.
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
• Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcasts.

Responsibilities

• Operational knowledge of Digital and Analog audio consoles and peripheral equipment including patch bays and routers.
• Setting up, checking and ensuring that all microphones, audio and media playback are adjusted for proper VU levels and equalization.
• IFB mix minus, Telos Systems, COMREX and Cleanfeed.
• Design and load in of all Studio and Exterior PA equipment.
• Coordination of all RF/Wireless equipment and studio foldback with A-2 or Floor Manager.
• Provide immediate solutions in the event of equipment or other audio problems.
