Job summary

TelevisaUnivision is seeking an Audio 2 Operator to join Production Operations. The role involves playing back music for live shows, managing microphones and IFB systems, and handling broadcast equipment including Novation Launchpad and related hardware.

The ideal candidate has at least an associate degree, 1 year of live show experience, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency. On-site coverage may include nights, weekends, holidays, and storm-related shifts.

Qualifications

Minimum Associate Degree or equivalent college degree.
Minimum 1 year of experience on live shows.
Bi-lingual English and Spanish required.
Knowledge of sound, music, and acoustics.
Knowledge of various microphones, IFBs, receivers, and transmitters.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.
Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcasts.
On-call availability and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Play back music using playback software/hardware such as Live/Novation Launchpad.
Work directly with A-1.
Maintain and operate microphones, backstage monitors, and communication systems.
Monitor microphone and IFB frequencies and RTS boxes.
Change batteries on microphones, IFBs, and RTS boxes.
Position microphones on talents and guests.
Distribute communication boxes and ensure their return.
