You will lead digital and audience strategy, edit for AP style, and collaborate with teams across platforms while working night and weekend hours in a hybrid environment near Hampton Roads.

Responsibilities

• Write engaging headlines, story summaries and cutlines with audiences in mind.
• Create newsletters and news alerts, program social media accounts.
• Use data and analytics to guide content decisions.
• Lead newsroom best practices for digital, social media and audience strategy.
• Edit stories for spelling, grammar and AP style.
• Monitor breaking news and write stories when needed.
