Job summary

Sinclair Broadcast Group seeks a seasoned Audience Engagement professional for Criminally Obsessed, our true crime brand. You will manage daily engagement across platforms, engage with online communities, and drive content prompts that build a loyal audience.

The role also covers publicity, events, and competitive analysis. You will collaborate with marketing, editorial, and sales teams, travel occasionally for events, and contribute to content strategy with audience insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in social media community management, preferably editorial brands or high-volume media.
• Excellent writing and communication, with clear brand voice.
• Strong knowledge and connections in the true crime media landscape.
• Proficiency with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and media monitoring (Meltwater).
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for events.

Responsibilities

• Audience Engagement: moderate comments, live chats and DMs across platforms; represent brand in online communities; publish daily engagement prompts; share insights with leadership.
• Publicity and Marketing: identify creator collaborations, press outreach, awards submissions; track earned media.
• Events and Activations: develop promotional campaigns for tentpole content; coordinate live events and activations; represent at events.
• Competitive Analysis: track creators, podcasts, media outlets to understand broader true crime community.
