Job summary

Cox in Maryland is seeking a Vehicle Data Clerk to accurately enter vehicle details into our AS400 system, or relay data to a coworker for entry. Responsibilities include scanning VIN, stock numbers, dealer IDs, and vehicle specs, affixing labels, and ensuring proper check-in at the Auction.

Strong safety awareness and reliable driving are required, with regular outdoor work and a willingness to assist on sale days as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, crouch and climb.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive multiple transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Enter VIN, stock number, dealer ID, make, model, year, mileage, color and options into the AS400 system or relay to a coworker for data entry.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles; flag 'no key' cars.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone and report any damage.
• Take digital images of vehicles upon receipt.
• Provide windshield code for sale identification at check-in.
• Follow safety procedures and support Safety Excellence initiatives.
• Assist on sale days by driving vehicles through Auction lanes when directed.
