Job summary

Driver I at Cox Automotive – Manheim is an on-site, first-step driver role based in Riverside, CA. You will spend your day behind the wheel, moving vehicles through auction lanes and staging inventory to ensure timely, smooth operations for customers and teammates.

No previous experience is required, and you’ll work a day shift Tue–Sat 6:30am–3pm. Compensation starts at $17.50 per hour with potential for additional incentive programs.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• High school diploma/GED (preferred).
• Previous auction experience (preferred).
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Safely drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days and throughout auction grounds, following all auction driving procedures, traffic laws and defensive driving practices.
• Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises, as well as customer dealerships and business locations, providing a professional and courteous experience.
• Stage, organize and park vehicles in the correct order based on direction from supervisors or team leaders.
• Help locate misplaced vehicles or move inventory as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for movement by performing basic tasks such as inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles.
• Communicate vehicle issues to the appropriate teams.
• Provide helpful, friendly support to customers, dealers, account representatives, rental agencies and coworkers.
• Follow all safety and health procedures and actively contribute to a culture of safety excellence.
• May be required to work overtime based on business needs.
