Safari Club International in San Antonio, TX, is seeking an Operations Manager - Auctions to oversee our live and silent auctions at the annual Convention. This in-office position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and at least five years in marketing, sales, or large-scale event planning within the outdoor industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience in marketing, sales or event planning.
• Extensive knowledge of the outdoor industry.
• Proficiency with iMIS, Tableau, and e-Show registration/event sales software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all facets of the Auction Program and donor relationships.
• Oversee administrative duties and computer-based operations.
• Develop auction practices, guidelines and reports.
• Track donations and publish reports to the network.
• Coordinate convention auction activities with staff and vendors.
• Supervise auction crew, auctioneers, and distribution center.
• Oversee Patrons Program and donor qualifications and lounge activities.
• Close annual Auction Program and manage expenses.
• Ensure accuracy of promotional copy and publication materials.
• Hire, train, and develop staff; monitor performance and deadlines.
• Maintain professional communications and attend related events.
