Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Lot Operations Specialist II to manage vehicle movement through the sales lane, assign drivers, and ensure smooth operations at a Cox location in the United States. The role emphasizes safety, roadside checks, and effective communication with customers and dealers.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED with several years of related experience, or an alternative higher degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• Or the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline.
• OR 5 years’ experience in a related field "Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.".
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of identifying (i.e., flat tires, low gas, jump-starting vehicles.)
• Preferred 6 months of auction or driving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of lot operations/lot layout preferred.
• Knowledge of LDM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move vehicles through the sales lane to the block and parking.
• Assign drivers, jump start/battery operators and push truck operators for smooth traffic flow.
• Inspect support equipment for proper operation.
• Conduct presale walk and plan changes with drivers.
• Identify missing or inoperable vehicles and address issues.
• Maintain the run list for keys and number changes.
• Respond to customer and dealer inquiries and concerns.
• Coordinate and direct vehicle movement to maintain flow to the block.
• Oversee parking of sold and non-sold vehicles.
• Report theft, lot damage, or safety concerns to management.
