We Are Legal Revolution is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Chicago-based workers' compensation defense practice. This fully remote role focuses on defending employers and insurers in workers' compensation matters, with an opportunity for partner track for a strong candidate.

The ideal attorney handles an active docket, builds long-term client relationships, and can ramp up quickly in a structured onboarding program.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Illinois bar admission, or willingness and ability to become licensed promptly.
• At least 3 years of workers' compensation defense experience representing employers and/or insurers.
• Ability to start remotely in Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Defend employers and insurers in workers' compensation claims from intake through resolution.
• Manage an active litigation docket, including strategy, case evaluation, and ongoing client reporting.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Prepare witnesses and evidence and handle appearances and hearings as required.
• Take and defend depositions and negotiate settlements to resolve claims efficiently.

This is a litigation-focused role representing employers and insurers in workers' compensation matters, suited to an attorney who can step into an active docket and build strong, long-term client relationships.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Annual billable expectation: 1,900 to 2,100 hours (salary commensurate with experience and productivity).
