Job summary

A&O Shearman is seeking an Attorney Recruitment Manager to join the Human Resources team in a role that supports lateral hiring across the US, Toronto, and São Paulo. You will design search strategies, manage relationships with search firms, and oversee interviews, offers, and feedback while aligning with firm goals.

You will lead sourcing, engage stakeholders, and build diverse talent pools across key markets, staying current on industry trends and best practices in recruitment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of six years' prior legal recruiting experience at a law firm.
• Knowledge of the legal market and willingness to learn.
• Ability to maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Manage lateral associate and counsel hiring for US offices, Toronto, and São Paulo.
• Establish relationships with legal search firms and analyze market data.
• Draft position descriptions and engage with candidates.
• Lead candidate attraction with innovative sourcing and marketing strategies.
• Partner with stakeholders to expand the talent pool.
• Build expertise in key hiring markets for quick sourcing.
• Stay informed on industry trends and recruiting technologies.
• Review resumes, circulate to practice leaders, and gather feedback.
• Manage lateral interview process including scheduling and offers.
• Act as liaison to candidates throughout interviewing process.
• Analyze recruiting data and adjust strategy with leadership.
• Mentor junior US Recruitment Team members.
