Job summary

A&O Shearman’s Human Resources team is seeking an Attorney Recruitment Manager based in one of our U.S. offices (New York, Houston) or Menlo Park.

You will oversee lateral recruitment for US offices, Toronto and São Paulo, coordinating interviews, offers and feedback while shaping creative sourcing strategies. You will partner with practice groups, search firms and internal stakeholders to build diverse talent pools, manage candidate relations, and mentor junior recruiters; a Bachelor's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required for employment.
• Six+ years of prior legal recruiting experience at a law firm or equivalent.
• Experience with US, Toronto, and São Paulo markets preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple offices and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage lateral associate and counsel hiring for US offices, Toronto, and São Paulo.
• Establish relationships with legal search firms and analyze market data.
• Oversee drafting of position descriptions and candidate engagement.
• Lead candidate attraction through innovative sourcing and marketing strategies.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to expand the talent pool.
• Coordinate interviews, offers, and feedback; manage screening processes.
