Attorney - Social Security Disability

Work from home! Regional travel as needed (about once weekly) for hearings.

Our client is a leading law firm based in Pennsylvania. Their mission is to provide exceptional legal professionals to clients while also helping attorneys find fulfilling and rewarding career opportunities.

Summary:

Open to newly licensed attorneys! We are currently seeking a motivated Attorney to join our team and specialize in Social Security Disability law. The ideal candidate will have a client-focused mindset and a passion for helping clients navigate the complex legal process of obtaining disability benefits. Will occasionally travel (once weekly average) to Philadelphia, Elkins Park, Wilkes-Barre, Harrisburg, and Pennsauken, NJ to attend in-person hearings. Most hearings are focused in/around the Philadelphia area.

Responsibilities:

1. Represent clients in Social Security Disability hearings and appeals
2. Conduct thorough case evaluations and develop effective legal strategies
3. Gather and analyze medical records, employment history, and other relevant evidence
4. Communicate with clients, medical professionals, and government agencies to gather necessary information
5. Prepare and file legal documents and briefs
6. Attend administrative hearings and advocate for clients' rights
7. Keep up-to-date with changes in Social Security Disability laws and regulations
8. Consult clients and share thorough communication on case status with them

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
2. Active license to practice law in the state
3. Ability to travel weekly to attend in-person hearings at various locations around eastern and central PA
4. Ability to virtually attend 5+ weekly hearings via telephone and MS Teams
5. Compassionate and empathetic towards clients' needs
6. Proficiency in legal research and case management software
7. Experience with Litify software is a plus
