Job description

Attorney with strong interest and experience in Social Security Disability and personal injury to assist with hearings and appeals as well as PL litigation. Law review helpful as well as supervisory skills. This is a career position. Salary range is $70,000-$100,000.

Responsibilities

• Develop Social Security case files in terms of refining strategies.
• Supervise paralegals, train paralegals.
• Appear at hearings before Administrative Law Judges, keep track of diary system and Statute of Limitations.
• Good writing and research skills preparing Federal Court Appeals (writing samples required).
• Familiarity with EAJA, 406(a) and 406(b) fees.
• Skills cross-examining vocational and medical experts, pre-hearing memos and preps with clients.
• Post-hearing briefs for presentation to Administrative Law Judges.
• Good standing with the Bar.
• Presentations at staff meetings once a week. PL experience helpful.
• Frequent contact with clients and presentation of status reports to clients.
• Appeals Council briefs.
• Team approach.
