Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare clients for social security hearings by explaining the process, gathering necessary documentation, and coaching them on how to effectively communicate their circumstances
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ social and health backgrounds, including nutrition and public health factors that impact their disability claims
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to build trust, motivate clients to share their stories openly, and strengthen their confidence during hearings
• Assist clients with budgeting and resource management to help them maintain stability while navigating the disability process
• Collaborate with legal representatives, social workers, and healthcare providers to compile comprehensive case files that accurately reflect each client’s situation
• Advocate on behalf of clients during hearings by presenting relevant information clearly and confidently while adhering to procedural guidelines
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions, assessments, and case progress in compliance with agency policies
