Qualifications

• 4–5 years of litigation experience.
• Strong background in commercial litigation.
• Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and case-management skills.
• Confidence working both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong academic background.
• Plaintiff-side or defense-side experience is of interest if the litigation background is strong.

An AM Law 140 firm is seeking a 4th–5th year Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Los Angeles office. The role

• This position is suited to an associate who already has solid litigation training and is ready for broader responsibility in a premium disputes practice. The work will include:
• Managing written and document discovery
• Conducting legal research and drafting memoranda, pleadings, and motions

Salary & hours

• Annual target: 1,950 hours
• 1,800 hours treated as core billable target
• Up to 150 hours can be credited through pro bono, firm activity, and other approved contributions
