Job Description

This role involves investigating complex and occasionally highly complex, unrepresented claims, including uninsured or underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims in single or multi-car accidents, and unrepresented moderate or major claims. The individual may also handle complex CPL claims or specialized claims such as business interruption, loss of income, or E&O policies. Responsibilities include taking recorded statements, resolving loss of use claims, making payments, negotiating, and settling or referring bodily injury issues that cannot be resolved.

This is a remote position for an experienced Bodily Injury Adjuster. Preference is given to candidates with a strong background in attorney-represented claims and specific experience with Georgia BI claims, especially those located in the Eastern Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities

1. Document claim files with notes, evaluations, and decision-making processes.
2. Summarize documents and enter information into the claim system.
3. Manage and resolve complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts, or issues.
4. Respond to or participate in Department of Insurance complaints or investigations.
5. Negotiate and settle claims following best practices.
6. Set and update reserves, document rationale, and maintain claim summaries.
7. Determine and explain minimum coverage limits and claim values in complex cases.
8. Review medical reports to evaluate claims for settlement.

Education

Preferred: 4-year Bachelor's Degree

Experience

Preferred: 3 or more years of relevant experience

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include supervisory duties.

In lieu of Education & Experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

The base salary ranges from $55,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include incentive pay such as bonuses or commissions.
