The attorney will handle varied assignments, maintain deadlines, and contribute to client service and business development while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• J.D. required and licensed to practice law in relevant state.
• 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
• Ability to respond discretely to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
• Knowledge of FDCPA and consumer protection statutes and related regulations.
• Must practice according to rules of professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Represents clients at legal, administrative and other proceedings as assigned.
• Negotiates with individuals to resolve cases and settlements.
• Develops strategy, arguments and testimony for case presentations.
• Researches and interprets laws, rulings and regulations for opinions.
• Reviews, drafts and dictates legal briefs, pleadings and other documents.
• Mentors and supports junior associates and associates.
• Markets firm services to prospective and new clients.
