The ideal candidate will be interested in helping expand the firm into additional areas of practice and will have a unique opportunity to help build and lead new practice areas within an established and growing firm.

Areas of Practice

The ideal candidate will have experience or strong interest in one or more of the following areas:

  • Special Needs Estate Planning, including Special Needs Trusts & Wills
  • Special Needs Life Care Planning
  • Real Estate Law
  • Appellate Practice
  • Social Security & Disability
  • ERISA
  • Administrative Law
  • Legal Research & Brief Writing
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow your own caseload with mentorship and oversight from senior attorneys
  • Draft and review legal documents, including motions, briefs, contracts, estate plans, and correspondence
  • Conduct in depth legal research and analysis
  • Represent clients in court hearings, administrative proceedings, and depositions
  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including special needs and long‑term planning
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Alabama Bar
  • 1–3+ years of legal experience preferred (but strong candidates with relevant interest will be considered)
