Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5+ years of Intellectual Property litigation experience to join our premier AmLaw 200 IP practice in Irvine, Cerritos, or Pasadena, CA. You will handle patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes in federal court, with opportunities for USPTO proceedings and broad docket exposure.

The ideal candidate will possess strong research and writing skills, deposition and motion experience, and a collaborative mindset to work across multiple

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of IP litigation experience
• Experience with trademark, patent, copyright, or trade secret litigation in federal court; USPTO or ITC experience a plus
• Familiarity with USPTO administrative proceedings (trademark opposition, cancellation, IPRs) a plus
• Exposure to general business, commercial, or employment litigation a plus
• Admission to the California Bar in good standing
• Skill in depositions and law & motion work
• Experience with written discovery and e-discovery/document review
• Strong legal research and writing abilities
• Ability to collaborate across a multi-office environment

Responsibilities

• Handle IP litigation matters in federal court across patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes
• Provide general IP-related advice and counsel to clients
• Manage document and data reviews and e-discovery
• Prepare and respond to written discovery requests
• Conduct and defend depositions and argue motions at court hearings
• Participate in arbitration and trial proceedings
• Prepare IP applications and respond to office actions
• Handle USPTO administrative proceedings including opposition, cancellation, and IPRs

An established California-based AmLaw 200 full-service law firm with over 40 years in practice is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5+ years of intellectual property litigation experience to join their team in Irvine, Cerritos, or Pasadena, CA. This role supports a growing docket of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation, along with USPTO administrative proceedings, offering meaningful federal court exposure and substantive responsibility.
