Job summary

We Are Legal Revolution is seeking a mid-level Law and Motion Associate for its San Diego office on a remote basis. You will work with a national litigation defense platform, handling sophisticated civil defense matters and gaining meaningful responsibility from the outset.

You will draft motions, support appellate work, and collaborate with experienced trial and appellate lawyers across multiple offices, with a focus on growth, training, and cross-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of litigation experience, ideally up to 10 years.
• Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.
• Experience with insurance coverage or civil defense matters.
• Exceptional research and writing skills, with strong advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Draft pretrial motions and oppositions, including pleading-related, discovery and dispositive motions.
• Prepare trial-related documents, including motions in limine, trial briefs, pocket briefs and jury instructions.
• Draft post-trial motions, including motions for new trial and for attorney fees.
• Support and handle appellate matters, including briefs and appellate arguments with senior guidance.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex issues to shape litigation strategy.

We Are Legal Revolution is working discreetly with a well established national litigation defense firm with Fortune 500 exposure seeking a mid level Law and Motion Associate to join its San Diego office on a Remote basis.

This role offers direct access to sophisticated civil defense matters, where your written advocacy strengthens strategy across multiple practice groups. You will work closely with experienced trial and appellate lawyers, gain meaningful responsibility from the outset, and build a long term litigation career within a growing multi office platform.

The Role

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a mid level Law and Motion Associate with:

• At least 2 years of experience, ideally up to 10 years, in litigation focused practice
• Experience with insurance coverage or civil defense matters and strong motion practice skills
• Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing
• A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Exceptional research and writing skills, with law review, clerkship or significant writing experience preferred
• $125,000 to $180,000 base salary, depending on experience
